Paul C. Rosser, P.E.
Chair, Rosser International, Inc.; former commander, Reserve Naval Construction Force and First Naval Construction Brigade; former chair, Georgia Board of Electrical Contractors; former director, Georgia Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. As founder of Rosser International, Inc., one of Atlanta’s leading architecture, engineering and program management firms, Rosser has created major award–winning structures around the world. Rosser served as Advisory Board Chair for the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies (AYSPS). It is said that he brought a builder’s vision to the growth of AYSPS.
Samuel William Bacote
Often referred to as an Educator’s Educator, Sammy Bacote is a former Teacher, Principal and Coordinator, Career Opportunities Program, for the Atlanta Public School System. He has conducted training workshops for teachers and other school personnel, and worked as a consultant for curriculum development and evaluation for Clark College. He was appointed by Mayor Andrew Young to the Atlanta Civilian Review Board and by Mayor Maynard Jackson to the Atlanta Community Relations Commission. He has held leadership positions in a number of civic, religious, and fraternal organizations.
Virginia Davis Floyd, M.D.
Dr. Floyd is Associate Professor, Clinical Community Health and Preventive Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Vice President of PROMETRA International. Based in Senegal, West Africa, PROMETRA is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of traditional medicine. Through PROMETRA, Dr. Floyd provides training for traditional healers in 17 African countries.
Harvey K. Newman, Ph.D.
Dr. Newman is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Public Management and Policy, Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Georgia State University; former Department Chair, AYSPS; and the Principal Investigator for the Making of Modern Atlanta Project. He has an extensive academic and professional background in urban policy studies with much of his research focused on Atlanta.
