What to Do About Gun Violence and Challenges Encountered?
Gun violence is a massive problem in the USA. It is a menace plaguing our streets. Governments have been ineffective at curbing this trend.
Among wealthier, developed countries, the USA is an outlier when it comes to gun violence. 44% of all homicides globally involve gun violence, in the USA that number grows to 77%.
Our governments unresponsive attitude has lead to a human rights crisis. Our per capita gun violence is significantly higher than any other ODEC country. Gun homicides in the USA, also disproportionately impact communities of color and particularly young black men.
What can we do to stop this epidemic that is haunting our community?
